Opening of The Blind Informatics Center

November 18, 2009 : The opening ceremony of the blind informatics center dependent on the central library was held in Bahonar Auditorium, Imam Khomeini Complex.

Friction Solid Welding (FSW) of 5 mm Aluminum-Copper in Edge-to-Edge Technique First in Iran

Friction Welding is a new way of solid welding with a high output and environment-friendliness. In the last decade, FSW has been considered as an important invention in metal welding. As an MS dissertation, the welding of pure aluminum (1050%) and pure copper ( 99.99%) has been done sussessfully by Mohammad M. Frahani  under  the supervision of Dr. Mehrdad  Abbasi and Dr. S. Hossein Razavi, in College of Technical Engineering, Islamic Azad University, Karaj Branch.

After three years, Friction Solid Weldong Underwater for the first time succeeded by Mohammad Sadeghi, Hamed Sabet and Mehrdad khalili and registered in the Office of Industerial ownership on Tir 8^th, 1388. In Friction Solid Welding with a progressive pin, a strong juncture is made. Friction between the pin and the still metal increases temrapure which softens the still metal and deforms the plastic edges and made them emerged into one another. In this way, without melting operation it is possible to connect two edges. Among the limitations in Friction solid welding, was the impossibility to use it where fluors like water is used as a cooler which is surrmounted by means of this innovation. The results of testing aluminum samples in wet condiotions proved that the physical features in welded componenets are similar to those welded in dry condition, while the mechanical features of welded components in wet conditions are higher in quality than those in dry conditions. This advantage is due to shrinking the welds in welding locations. Friction solid welding underwater, therefore, can successfully be used in repairing marine constructions and ship industry.

Wining Silver in 2009 Asian Karate Competitions for karaj Islamic Azad University

In 2009 Asian Karate Competitions, China, Milad Khodayar Sahebi,  student of engineering at Islamic Azad University of karaj and a member of the IRIran National Karate Team stood as the second and won the silver in the competition  after the Japanese contestant who won the gold. After 10 years, Milad Khodayar Sahebi could enter the finalists among 16 present teams in the competitions. In these competitions, IRIran National Karate Team stood at the top before Japan and China as the second and the third, respectively.

The Ceremony on the Anniversary of Masuma (PBUH) with presence of 200 Islamic Azad University Students -October 20, 2009 

On October 20, 2009 on the felicitous occasion of Masuma’s (PBUH) anniversary, and the National Day of Iranian Girls, a ceremony was held with presence of a large group of students sponsored and administered by Karaj Islamic Azad University Office of Cultural Affairs, Deputy.

Dr. Sima Ferdosi, Psychologist and university professor, delivered a lecture on developing the culture of self-esteem and the techniques to release anxiety and to empower the girls’ self confidence. She emphasized the criteria to be observed in finding a proper spouse. Then, she introduced a number of reference books which would help the students to set their own marriage criteria.

Along the program, the outstanding students in cultural and scientific fields are introduced and honored. After the ceremony, the exhibition ‘What Girls Should Know’ was opened for a week.

The 80 Extra-Schedule Courses in Karaj Islamic Azad University

The Centre for Extra-Schedule Courses, Karaj Islamic Azad University, Office of Cultural Affairs, Deputy is administering a number of classes on calligraphy, table designing, sewing, graphics, English speaking, computer sciences, Arabic, cooking, caricature, planting and rehearsing the Koran in  order to improve the students’ skills in different fields.
